Throughout the year, the park serves as a venue for various events, including the Churches Together event and the prominent river festival held in July. At the bridge end of the park, a captivating sight awaits visitors as an avenue of mature lime trees illuminates the area at night with purple and green up-lighters, creating a charming Mediterranean ambiance along the riverfront.The name "Evesham" finds its roots in Old English, combining "homme" or "ham," representing a home or dwelling, with "Eof," the name of a swineherd who served Egwin, the third bishop of Worcester. Initially known as "Homme" or "Haum," the name evolved over time to "Eveshomme" in 709 and eventually settled as "Evesham" by 1086. In Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, the second part of the name ("homme" or "ham") commonly denoted land situated on the banks of a river, particularly in bends prone to flooding.To ensure effective monitoring of water levels along the road, a Farson Digital webcam has been installed.
